Speak before the words are frozen

I came across a neutral Harry Potter fanfic --credit goes to CharliRaverBaby-- in my quest of searching for good slash and epics, and I have to say, this really made me rethink what love is. People have their different perspectives on what love is to them, but the ones I read below are really touching, even if you've never read the HP books.
I think... love is real after all, not just a fairytale of left-behind dreams.
What do you think?

What love is.

"Love is something painful," Severus whispers softly as he holds Lily's favorite book, resting on his chest but the words cutting deeper into his heart. Why was Potter worth more than him. All he did was show interest in darker things. What Potter did was strip him of everything that every gave him some sort of happiness. Yet Potter was still worthy to hold her hand and kiss her rosy lips. "It wasn't supposed to be this way.

"Love is something wonderful," Ted smiles to Andromeda as he pulls her closer to him. Brushing his soft fingers in her soft brown hair as he pulls off the hair clip and sends the warm brown colour spilling down her back. "It's what I feel for you everyday."

"Love is something I can't have," Peter says as he milks the snake for his master. The dark lord watches him with cold loveless eyes yelling hurry up Wormtail every two minutes. Was this worth giving up Sirius, Remus and James for? "I don't even remember what it felt like."

"Love is something unexplainable," Remus grins as he watches Dora dress their son, her hair is a soft tone of dirty blonde today. As it was her son's first day at daycare and she felt that bright pink hair would embarrass would embarrass Teddy. And no matter how much Remus explained to her that he was too young to be embarrassed. Tonks felt that just in case he did, she would go with a natural colour. Tonks always made him laugh."There is a million reasons I can't have this. But love brings it too me anyway."

"Love is something cold," Angelina sobs as she pushes the hair out of Fred's dead face. His cold eyes bearing up at her and seeing through her. She can't believe he will never laugh again. "It will just rot. It will never be warm again."

"Love is something charming," Lily grins as she moves closer to James, he can feel her lips on his ear as she whispers one more thing to him "Or at least it is, when you are involved."

"Love is something lost," Sirius cries out as the dementors swooped down on him again, his face presses against the icy bars as his worst memories come back again. "I'll never have it again."

"Love is something beautiful," Lucius tells Narcissa as he presses his lips to hers as they kiss for the first time in months, his face bear scars of Azkaban. But she can barely see them. He leans down again and grins, "just like you."

"Love is something terrible," Regulus cries as he stares down at the photo of him, Bella and Sirius all together. He knows he has to do this. But he is only 16. He doesn't want to leave just yet. He was always the the cowardly one. "And now neither of them will get too see. Just how brave I can be."

"Love is something unbreakable," Bill grimaces as he looks up at Fleur washing the deep wounds across his newly deformed face, "And that's the way it should be."

"Love is something that never works out," Cho mourns as she watches Harry and Ginny playing with their two young sons in the park. She wonders if it would still be this way if Cedric was alive. Maybe she should have been nicer to Harry. She gave him up for a friend that she never even speaks too. And now her husband always comes home smelling of perfume that isn't hers. "Maybe it was never meant too."

"Love is something crazy," Ron laughs as he watches Hermione try to pull a brush through her hair, and fail badly. He tiptoed over to her quietly and slipped his arm around her waist, she giggles and the brush drops to the floor. Ron grins "It wouldn't be any fun if it wasn't."

"Love is something given and never received," Rodolphus muses bitterly as he stares at Bellatrix's empty side of the bed. She is the bed with him every night. But he has never once woken up next to her. She is always gone on her death eater missions. Either that or she is afraid of any sign of loving from him. "Only a fool could love someone as much as I love her."

"Love is something fantastic," Hannah beams as she runs towards Neville after the battle. She means to hug him but somehow her lips end up on his. And he doesn't seem unhappy about it, "sometimes it's right in front of us and we don't see it."

"Love is something strange," Dean mutters quietly as he watches Luna shop with her head half in a day dream. He had spent so much time with her after the episode at Malfoy manor that he had grown very attached to the weird girl. He always figured they'd end up together. But as Rolf slips his hand into her, Dean realizes that it's gone. He smiles a little, at least she was happy. "It would have been nice."

"Love is something spectacular," Septimus Weasley states joyfully as Cedrella bangs on his door at 4 in the morning declaring that she loved him and was never ever going back to Black manor. He pulls her inside and goes to make her some coffee, but she follows him and when he comes away from the kettle she kisses him with all the passion they were not allowed to have before now. "Nothing else on this Earth makes you feel like love does."

"Love is something stupid," Pansy declares as she watches Draco marry another woman. Was she just his plaything and now he had found his true love? She feels a single tear slip down her face. "I was a fool to take teenage romance so seriously."

"Love is something that always wins," Ginny observes as Harry walks away from the duel with Voldemort victorious. "I always knew it would."

"I, I can't help the way I feel about you..."

Thought I'd do some video promoting. This first one is called Time Isn't Healing, and the second is If You Could Be Anywhere, both by Tom Felton. And, if he looks familiar, it's because he plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies.

Mind you, he's rather charming out of character.

Enjoy. This first one has a rather Frank Turner vibe to it, but the second one is more upbeat. I think people who like bands like Arctic Monkeys and Oasis will find this refreshing.

"... to confirm you are a rakyat Malaysia."

Title quote from Mr Jeremy Yee. We were having the treasure hunt on Friday, and we had no ideas for the Bible Knowledge Forever! (9 x 9 x .........) so he went over to Mr Jacob and asked, "I need to see your IC."

"Why?"

"We need to confirm you are a rakyat Malaysia. Or else you might be arrested."

LOL. The whole group started laughing like idiots. THEN we found out that BKF ... was MJ's car number plate. More LOLs. We came in second-at-a-tie with Reuben's group.

EVEN MORE LOL "Rules: No screaming like the 'handsome' (REUBEN).
No breathing.
No running.
and etc. etc. etc.
*copyrighted. thank you for reading. :)"

Next week gonna learn how to play The Beatles' "All My Lovin'" on the guitarra classica. Can't wait to get the sheet music. :D

Miracle Explosion and Youth Explosion was good. I got something to share on Friday. :]

Gotta go for dinner. Bye.

It's September 11, 2009

Every year since 2001, I've spent this day doing something to remember those lost souls of September 11 in my own way. I know people who visit graves, and some makes special announcements or phone calls or hold memorials.

I know a brave man-- a comic book artist-- who spends this day every year by locking himself in a room and painting the whole day. He was a witness to the collapse of the towers. He saw those people fall from fifty storeys high, heard them scream and heard them cry. And to this day he still cannot get the images out of his head.

I want to take a moment, just to ask you to bow your heads in silence, or just say a small prayer. Those lives did were taken away from loving families, loving parents, loving children... I could never imagine how much pain and sorrow was caused. My grandfather passed away the same month as 9/11, the same year. This has become a special day for me, a day when I just remember those who died, those who survived, those who saw it, those who mourned. And also to remember my grandfather.

This day reminds me to be thankful that I'm still alive. Life is like a candle; it could be snuffed out anytime, and we wouldn't be prepared. We can't predict when we'll die. We won't know when. So we have to live life to the fullest. Live, love, laugh, learn. Don't look back at the past; go forward. Go forward and see that you can still bring good to the people around you, if you learn to live life as a better person.

Have you seen the movie World Trade Center? If not, then go. Go and watch it. You can see first hand, the account of a fireman who was rescued after being stuck under tons of rubble for nearly two days. 2 293 people died that day, after two planes crashed into the World Trade Center, another plane crashed into the Pentagon, and another crashed into a field. There were no survivors from any of the flights.

So I dare you to move. Give a small portion of your day to respect these people. I'm eternally grateful for that.
I dare you to move. Listen.

Eleventh Day Of September

It's Flight Q33 NY, honey
I'm watching the clock tick
As I know you get onboard
The smile on your face won't be comparable
To the fact that you'll be coming home soon
It's only a three hour trip
You'll be back
Amy's waiting up, you know how seven year olds are
She made you a card too
Twenty minutes till you arrive
I'm about to pull on my coat, and Amy's got the keys
But then my instincts take a left turn
I turn on the telly
And as seven seconds drown into my skin
I usher Amy upstairs
And watch in silence
A crash of two planes
Into the sibling towers downtown
It can't be
And I'm begging Amy to stay with the neighbour
Just as I go check
I know it might break her, she's too young
So I speed off downtown
And I catch sight of flames
And a man runs down the sidewalk
Screaming
"My son was in there!"
My heart takes a tumble for the worse
But I keep going
And I see
The tail of the plane on the ground
It says... oh
It's Flight Q33 NY, honey
And the world fades to black.

It's only Sam and Dean, guys

Trying not to roll my eyes at the huge Twitter war going out over the trending topics #GodIsHere and #luciferiscoming. About an estimated 50 000 are going out at a limb to tweet that the devil will not win and that God will triumph over evil.

I know that's true, but WILL YOU JUST READ THE TOPIC AND SEE IT'S ONLY ABOUT THE SHOW SUPERNATURAL THAT'S AIRING ON CBS AT NINE O CLOCK??? It's the episode where Lucifer appears and Sam and Dean try to stop him from bringing evil to the world.

This is the stuff that I hate. It's people who jump to conclusions over their beliefs and try to turn it into a big, fat, war. I know that standing up for God is good, it's awesome, but please don't turn it Hitler style.

Even a small Twitter war can cause permanent damage.
